Lakshman Kunj Multi-Level Parking, Ayodhya – An Iconic Cultural Integration
The Lakshman Kunj Multi-Level Parking facility in Ayodhya is more than just an infrastructural addition—it’s a cultural landmark that reflects the city’s deep mythological and historical roots. Completed in March 2024, this structure has been carefully designed to blend utility with heritage aesthetics, and Unistone was proud to play a pivotal role in crafting its distinct identity.
Custom GRC Elements Inspired by Tradition
At the heart of this project lies Unistone’s commitment to design adaptability and architectural authenticity. We manufactured a wide range of customised GRC elements tailored to the architect’s vision of recreating a spiritually resonant yet modern structure:
- 800 sq. ft. of designer GRC Jali for natural airflow and ornamentation
- 663 running meters of intricate mouldings that add edge detail to the facade and periphery
- 2 full GRC columns and 84 half-columns to echo classical Indian architecture
- 37 bend sets and 340 running meters of Jali bends, perfectly aligning with curved surfaces
- A custom ‘Dhanush’ element, symbolic of Ayodhya’s divine lineage
These elements were conceptualised and fabricated using high-precision moulding techniques at our in-house facility, ensuring both dimensional accuracy and visual consistency.
Functional Infrastructure Meets Cultural Design
The overall structure serves a functional need—managing high vehicular footfall near Ayodhya’s sacred sites—while preserving the spiritual and architectural vocabulary of the city. Our GRC (Glassfibre Reinforced Concrete) elements ensured not only aesthetic richness but also longevity and resistance to environmental wear, ideal for public infrastructure in a culturally dense region like Ayodhya.
