About the Project

The Safdarjung Tomb, maintained by the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI), Delhi Circle, is one of New Delhi’s most significant heritage monuments, representing the grandeur of late Mughal architecture. The project aimed to enhance visitor experience through thoughtfully designed signage systems that complement the monument’s historic character while meeting modern interpretation and wayfinding requirements.

Designed by Mr. Shukanta Saha and Ms. Poonam Thakur of M/s Srishti Consulting Services, the signage solution was developed with careful consideration for heritage sensitivity and visual harmony.

Our Contribution – Signages

Unistone supplied and executed custom-designed Signages for the project, creating a system that seamlessly integrates with the historic surroundings while providing clear and informative communication for visitors.

The signage system was designed to:

  • Complement the architectural character of the heritage monument.
  • Provide clear wayfinding and visitor information.
  • Enhance the overall visitor experience without disrupting the monument’s visual integrity.
  • Incorporate durable materials suitable for long-term outdoor use.
  • Maintain high standards of craftsmanship, readability, and finish.

Each signage element was manufactured with precision to ensure consistency, durability, and seamless integration with the heritage environment.
