Supply of Unistone Claystone exterior fired clay paving tiles for all outdoors, semi outdoors areas or interiors as per either of the mentioned approved shades & textures, in nominal sizes 195 mm X 195 mm, 200 mm X 300 mm, 150 mm X 150 mm & 100 mm X 200 mm in 20 mm thickness. The product shall have rounded corners. All sizes mentioned above are non-rectified. The product shall weigh approximately 4 Kg per Sq. Ft. The product’s top surface shall be treated with acrylic urethane and surface water absorption should not exceed 3 % and should be less than 8%, by the 24-hour immersion method, as per IS 654:1992. The tiles would be made from special earth sourced from barren lands. The firing temperature would be more than 1100° Celsius in a specialized bio-fueled furnace with 56 burners maintaining adequate firing temperatures. The modulus of rupture shall be a minimum of 30 N / mm 2 as per IS 13630 (P-6): 2006 & breaking strength shall be a minimum of 1100 N 2 as per IS 13630 (P-6): 2006

The tiles should be applied to a well compacted & cured surface, PCC or RCC. The concrete subgrade should be free from any loose particles and foreign material. The surface should be in SSD (Saturated Surface considering the required slope. Dry) using water. Level pads for the finished floor should be marked, and uniformly spread, Mortar bedding of (30-40) mm is prepared with a ratio of 1:8 (cement: sand) lean mixture. Avoid rich mix proportions Cement slurry should be spread on the surface at 3 kg/sq. ft approximately Using reference lines, tiles are placed in line, the level is checked and the right angle is maintained throughout Use dot points to check the tiling accuracy. Tiles near a wall are supposed to be placed 12 mm away from the wall for skirting After laying the tile, it should be levelled by light tamping with a wooden mallet. Plus, shaped spacers of a minimum 8 mm width groove size, should be used to maintain the alignment of tiles. Spacers are provided for the removal of air below tiles or extra cement. The surface is now kept for drying. When the floor dries, the floor should be cleaned thoroughly. After curing for three days (avoid unnecessary foot movements), cover the tile flooring with a bubble sheet/POP Sheet to avoid any scratches. Grouting of tiles i.e. all joints are to be done with exterior grade elastomeric polymer modified cementitious grout in approved shade or fine sand and grey cement can be used as well in the ratio of 3 :1 (Fine Sand: Grey Cement)
