GRC & FRP Planters

UniStone ‘Self-Watering Planters’ in-built reservoirs contain all the water ready for the plant to use. There is no wastage of water or nutrients resulting in healthier plants. The feeder mats pull water for the smart Reservoir into the soil in the pots when the plants need it. The soil is never too dry or water-logged.

THE UNISTONE SELF-WATERING SYSTEM

UniStone pioneered and developed a unique self-watering system A series of high-capacity capillary action wicks “suck” water up from a subsoil water reservoir onto a dispersal mat. This dispersal matting distributes the water evenly to the compost, overlaying it and keeping it optimally moist at all times.

As a result, evaporation is kept to a minimum and plant roots absorb only the water they need, thereby keeping plants healthy and strong for longer.

Self-watering Planters can go up to 2-4 weeks without watering indoors. They are designed primarily for indoor use but can be put in outdoors also.

UniStone helps to save precious water resources. You also save considerable amounts of time and money because, unlike traditional baskets, and self-watering Planters do not need watering daily.

  1. Water as you normally would, from the top of the plants, for the first 12 weeks.
  2. After this period or once the roots have reached the water reservoir, fill the water reservoir through the water supply shaft, until the water level indicator reaches “Max”.
  3. Keep an eye on the water level indicator to know when to refill the reservoir. Depending on the plant’s water requirement, refill the reservoir approximately 1-2 weeks after the indicator reads “min”, allowing the plant to go through its “dry phase”.

Standard Planter Features

  1. Supplied with the unique UniStone Self-watering capillary action wick and dispersal matting system that keeps compost optimally moist and plants healthy and strong
  2. Generous sub-soil water reservoir provides a permanent water source and keeps evaporation to a minimum.
  3. Double-walled construction keeps plants cool in summer and insulated in winter
  4. Easy access filling points allow units to be topped up more than once or twice a week.

Production Method

Semi-manual

Advantages

Weather resistant, corrosion resistant, light weight

Self Watering System

Patented sub-irrigational self watering system

VASE

The pot is inspired by the iconic shape of a traditional flower vase and exaggerates it to an oversized dimension, which makes it unique and striking.

CONE

The cone is a pot that, turned upside down, transforms into a coffee table with a large and convenient support surface.

PISA

Named after the Leaning tower of Pisa.

TRIANGLE

A fusion of a round base and a triangular top.

SPHERE

Based on the philosophy of avoiding the predominance of decoration and the superfluous. A pot represents the time in which it was created and at the same time, even timeless.

WALLZ

As its name suggests it has to be attached to a wall for support to stand.

WALLZ

Slightly tapered to one side, the elegant BOWL is for planting small shrubs with a wide splatter.

TRAPEZOID

Different from the traditional rectangular shape and refreshing.

LED-CYLINDERS

These are light-emitting Luminous planters. They are not self-watering and require a small separate pot with a plant to be placed in the cavity at the top.
